You'll need to provide an email address for validation. This will also be used for notification emails, if you want those (you can toggle that in your settings later).

There's a new games development blog post
There's a new non-dev (usually personal) blog post
I get a reply to one of my comments
Your account has been successfully created! You'll need to click the link in the verification email before you can log in though. It's annoying, but it keeps out bots. If you can't find it, check your Spam folder.
