Christmas 2019
5 years ago - Edited 5 years ago300 words
Two million years ago, that red, cackling, horned, immortal being known as Santa gave birth to Our Lord And Saviour Jesus H Christ, who spent his 24 hours of life delivering catastrophic volleys of Faberge eggs upon all the world's children. Let us remember this fateful tale today and enjoy the universe his apocalyptic egging unmade and then re-brought into being afresh. Praise be.

On so many past Chrimbos, I've talked about how the day used to be so exciting to me, but now isn't, etc etc. It's the same again; I'll just be doing the same as usual, probably working on this MARDEK Remake thing, alone. How exciting!!

I've been noticing though that there's this huge expectation in my mind that the world just stops during the Christmas period, to the point where seeing anything unrelated to the holiday seems weird and out of place. Maybe it's not that much of a big deal at all, though? Maybe Thanksgiving is as big a deal to Americans, and I just completely ignored that since it doesn't exist here? Or Halloween? I don't know. Or maybe the proximity to the end of the year is what makes Christmas feel so much like a time of inactivity?

However much you acknowledge it, I hope this is a pleasant time for you! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I've got to the point with the MARDEK Remake thing where I have a rough idea of the entirety of the plot now; I just need to iron out some details. Hopefully I'll have that done by the end of the year. That'll be my gift to myself, or something. I've even got a couple of ideas for a title! I bet that's more exciting than all the AAAAA games you got for this most jolly time of the year!!!
