This well-regarded and influential series of games was left abandoned for almost two decades, then finally got a sequel... which only disappointed fans and left them hanging once again. READ MORE
I've been unable to work for the past few days due to dogsitting, though I've been unusually social via phone calls with friends. Also: canine social networking, R-CPD as a possible explanation for my lifelong inability to burp and recent chest pain, an intriguing game called Cocoon, a film called Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, and Patreon porn profits. I’ve actually done a lot of work on Dreamons this week, gasp! Though instead of going into detail about that, here's some rambling about popular creations being most obsessively consumed by the young and impressionable. Also, did you know there's a mobile JRPG made by some of the creators of Chrono Trigger? Plus a brief bit about the loneliness epidemic. READ MORE
While lying in bed depressed, I had some ideas for creative stuff, and also saw this thing called The Amazing Digital Circus that you may also have seen! READ MORE
I saw two interesting things from familiar online creators this week, which I wanted to write about: a video by Weebl (a Flash animator from not long before I released MARDEK), and some old soundtracks by ConcernedApe (creator of Stardew Valley)... READ MORE
I just watched a 2-hour-long serious hearing where credible witnesses talked about the reality of retrieved spacecraft created by non-human intelligence to the US Congress. READ MORE
I recently (re)played the remakes of these games that were a big part of my childhood. One trilogy I found mostly enjoyable, the other mostly frustrating! READ MORE
According to a post on Reddit 7 years ago, aliens will make some kind of contact (or something) on the 18th of July 2021, which is a couple of days from now. But will they?? READ MORE
Back in late 2019, ∞ I wrote a post about UFOs ∞, specifically the Nimitz incident - where a bunch of army pilots, most notably Commander David Fravor, saw, detected on radar, and had interactions with a tic-tac-shaped craft - and a guy called Bob Lazar - who claimed to have worked on a secret program reverse-engineering retrieved saucer-shaped craft. The former seemed too genuine to discount, and got me really seriously wondering whether we were on the verge of a cultural shift, but the latter guy, Bob Lazar... I wrote that he seemed far too outlandish, and had far too much going against him to possibly be believable. Now, though, after looking into his story in depth from several angles, I'm wondering whether he's actually telling the truth... READ MORE
I've set myself the goal to finish off preparing the Steam page for Atonal Dreams today, but uncertainty's quite a barrier again so I'm writing a bit about it! READ MORE
I finally got around to watching this film, and it's easily one of the best things I've ever seen! I don't want to write a full review or anything; I just wanted to post about it briefly because it felt wrong not to acknowledge it at all. READ MORE
I saw this video the other day, in which a just-starting indie dev interviews another who claims to be earning six figures a year from what started as solo games dev, and felt it was worth a post of its own! READ MORE
Most highly creative people struggle with depression to some degree, and I read an article about that which I wanted to mention here. Unrelatedly, maybe I could sell my old, unfinished games on itch.io? Do you know anything about it? READ MORE
Have you ever heard of a game called Among Us? Probably not. It's really obscure. I mean, it only has 104,597 reviews on Steam. I feel sorry for the developers, honestly. READ MORE
As you've probably already seen, phosphine - a molecule only known to be produced by life - has been detected in the atmosphere of Venus. Could we be very close now to finally discovering that life on Earth isn't unique?? READ MORE
